There is a strong need for financial planning in our nation. There is an impacting percentage of individuals with credit card debt and bad credit scores. Much of this is a result of the lack of planning and training about money, interest and savings, and debt. People have not saved enough for major investments like home buying and retirement simply because they do not know how. Many parents have not taken the time to discuss financial matters with their children. In some cultures, it is simply not done.
The theme of the Greenhouse is to plant a seeds that can be cultivated and sown far reaching into the adult years of our children. Children can learn to plant seeds now and feast upon their harvest for years to come. The Greenhouse is here to show children that money really doesn’t grow on trees. These children are our future. If we do not teach them how to manage, how do we expect them to manage well?
