Focusing on kids, they have designed a step-by-step approach to understanding personal financial being on which kids and parents and benefit. Both have devised educated and fulfilling means for learning what should be taught in school and colleges, using an analogy of planting and sowing under the care of The Greenhouse.
The Greenhouse, a division of Cameron Funding Company, caters to financial planning for children, ages 8-18. The Greenhouse is owned and operated by Cameron Lewis, a high school G.A.T.E. student, and focuses on tips for budgeting, investing and saving, understanding credit, and entrepreneurship. The Greenhouse has designed its revenue models around seminars, one-on-one consultation, and book sales.
Cameron is a great student and serious about his future successes, already practicing his day trading. Business practitioner and cash flow specialist, Erin, Cameron's mother, can speak from experience, having transformed her company from an old-line training organization into a new compliant enterprise development and management company; and now in the post Dot Com era, is integrating what she has learned from both worlds.
So how do we avoid bankruptcies, foreclosures, debt, and elderly poverty if we are never taught about it our homes or in our schools? Greenhouse Finances has developed a program called the Greenhouse where children, grouped by ages 8 to 12 and 13 to18, are taught about personal financial planning related to short term and long-term goals. A 5 + 1 Program will be piloted in various school districts in southern California. Seed monies requested for $2.5 million have been budgeted to implement the program.
At the Greenhouse, it is understood that teachers are over-burdened with a curriculum designed to raise the standards of education per the state guidelines. There is no additional time allotted within a school day to incorporate lessons about the importance of personal financial planning. In addition, many teachers have not been sufficiently trained in matters of personal financial planning. Therefore at the option of the parents, these school age children can attend an after-school or evening or weekend program to learn about financial matters that will not only improve their way of life, but the eventual economic condition of our nation in which they will function as viable, contributing citizens.

Joining forces with Greenhouse Finances is Child Shield, U.S.A.TM that finds missing children, but more importantly we have the only “guaranteed” comprehensive child safety program available that has been proven to “prevent” children from becoming missing in the first place.
Most parents don’t know that I.D. cards, fingerprints, DNA kits, the Amber Alert and tracking devices do nothing, what-so-ever, to prevent their child from becoming missing. WE DO!
